QuestionIn your book "101 Low carb Diet Tips" you mention on page 86 that one may break a plateau by eating 1.24 cup of heavy cream, but on page 68 you talk about slimming down by eating "consuming good fats - not animal fat - including fats from diary". Is that not a contradiction? I mean I'm eating low carb/high fat for 5 months now and I weigh 87 kilogram and I want to go to 83 Kilogram, but nothing seems to work, but eating only heavy cream seems to me a nice way of breaking though a plateau but not consuming vegetable oil all day.
So please can you help me out?
Thank,
George.
AnswerDear George,
Thank you for a good question!
The "heavy cream and green tea" is one of the plans that are intended to last for a week or so - there hardly can be any harm done for a week, while it is very helpful in the case of metabolic resistance. This idea is similar to Atkins' fat fast, which he prescribed for metabolically resistant dieters.
Good fats are advised to be consumed instead of animal fats because in the long run we have to think about their long term effects on cardio-vascular health and other health conditions.
