Question
Hi George,
Normally, I'm happy to drink plain water, however, in my eight month of pregnancy, I have a hankering for something different.  What can I drink as an alternative to water that will keep me hydrated.  I don't want anything that has sucralose, nutrasweet, or is sugary.  I enjoy green tea, but I understand that that actually dehydrates you.  Are rooiboos or other decaf herbal teas a healthy alternative?  What about perrier or club soda with some lime juice?  I'd really like something with a bit of fizz, but without the sugar.
Any suggestions you have would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Aimee

Answer
Hello Aimee!

Thank you for your nutrition question.  Drinking decaf green tea is a good option as well as rooiboos. Perrier or club soda with lime juice is also acceptable because they do not contain caffeine. I also recommend a special water just for moms-to-be. It's called 揝aphia?and is a  safe and affordable alternative to tap water that helps women avoid mercury, lead, and chlorination byproducts that can be harmful to mother, unborn child or nursing infant. Saphia water comes in a variety of flavors such as peach and blissberry.  Saphia Water CONTAINS NO ASPARTAME

Saphia Water is available nationwide at Babies R Us, with over 250 locations to choose from. Let me know if you have more questions!
