QuestionEven though most fast food resteraunts are unhealthy, is In N Out Healthier than McDonalds?
AnswerDaniel...
That is a great question. Although I wouldn't recommend a diet of food from either place, I understand that we go there when there are few options and we haven't planned for anything else.
Now, so as not endorse either fast food chain, I'll explain what I do. I go to the websites of fast food restaurants to read the nutrition facts for food I might eat there. Sometimes, it's that calorie count that is a shocker. Other times, it's the amount of fat. Good to their respective websites and make a list of the foods that are low in calories, fat, sugar, and sodium. Once you start looking at those numbers, you'll quickly see what you should avoid on the menu and the list will help pick from the menu during those crunch times. (I've made a few of these lists myself.)
Another thing you will want to check out on the websites are the ingredients and if they tell you how items are prepared. That may be your biggest source of fat and sodium -- the preparation.
So, look at the total picture and you can make the decision for yourself, based on information, what, if anything, you should eat from any fast food location.
Best of luck!
