although i never liked exercising, my weight has become out of hand and after trying my 76th fad diet i decided to exercise (and realised how fun it can be)but i cant cos of a pain in my right foot for 3yrs. it gets worse when i exercise.my eating habit has also worsen cos i just got out of a starvation diet and now i cant keep of my desserts(that i do for a living) i need to be 65kg and presently a 85kg. what can i do without exercise.

Have you had the pain actually looked at so that you know what's causing it?  Or what you can do to alleviate it?

It sounds like what you need to do is o try something that is non-weight bearing, that doesn't put any pressure on your right foo.  For example swimming or water aerobics are great because they allow you to get exercise (and you're right it sure can be fun - you can check out some more ideas for this at the ditch-diets-live-light.com website under the exercise NavBar) without weight on your legs.  

Alternatively, some people (and I don't know if you are one of them or not because it'll depend a lot on what is actually wrong with your foot) are able to use something like an orbitreck or bicycle where, even though you are standing on your feet, there is little or no pounbding or jarring.

Sure hope that helps.... and PS... I know what you mean about those starvation diets that inevitably lead to bingeing - I did that at one stage of my life for 20 years.  Forever on and off ridiculous diets.
