QuestionHey Rick, thank you for your inspiring story. I would like to know about eating habits. I'm not an expert but I seem to have a slow metabolism and I would like to know, should I only eat when I'm hungry?
AnswerOn the contrary... in order to speed up your metabolism you have to do the EXACT OPPOSITE. You need to force yourself to eat SMALL meals spaced every 3 to 4 hours. Your body will get used to it, and your metabolism will speed up. That's a GREAT technique for losing weight.
Unfortunately, it's VERY hard to do. When I was losing my 100+ pounds, I actually set my watch for every 3 hours and ate exactly when I was supposed to. It's hard to live your LIFE that way... and it's even hard to form it as a habit... but if you are real serious about losing weight, it's good to do at least for a few months to jump-start your metabolism.
Of course, you need to eat the RIGHT foods, and the right AMOUNT of foods, otherwise eating TOO MUCH (or too little) of the wrong foods every 3 hours isn't going to do you much good either.
