Weight loss messed up metabolism question

Question
I am a 47 yr old male.  A couple months ago I weighed 190. I was dieting and lost 10lbs in a month.  Then I went on the 21 lbs in 21 days diet to not only loose weight, but to cleanse.  I lost 15lbs in the 21 days.  So I'm now 165.  Since stopping that diet I resumed a healthy 1500 calorie per day diet in 6 meals pretty balanced with protien, carbs and good fats.  I drink alot of water too.  I also bike to/from work and I ride hard for 80 minutes total per day.  Its been over 2 weeks since stopping the 21 day diet and I'm only holding steady at 165.  I still have alot of fat around my middle and my legs and I think it will take another 10-15 lbs of weight loss to trim up, but I'm no longer loosing even with the reduced calories and alot of exercise.  Did I kill my metabolism with that diet or what could be the problem.

Answer
You know, I see this happen occasionally.  I'm not a big proponent of cleanses, mainly because our bodies do a really good job already.  I have seen people not lose weight on 800-1000 calories, so you are not alone.  I am learning more and more that leptin levels have a lot to do with how our body burns calories and how it can "hold on to fat".  I can send you a sample of Bios Life Slim - if you drink it twice a day (it's a fiber/nutrient drink -not a meal replacement) for 90 days, it will lower your leptin levels and allow your body to get rid of fat.  For instance, I have a patient that has tried (really hard) to lose weight for 5 months but couldn't get past the 4 lbs. he lost initially.  He started Slim 8 weeks ago and has lost 7 lbs.  He is amazed and loves it.  It makes you feel full, reduces your cravings for whatever food you might crave and decreases your urge to snack.  Other people lose more quickly - everyone's leptin levels are different.  It also lowers LDL cholesterol and raises HDL (the good cholesterol, the one you want higher).  That's my suggestion, try Slim.  For more information, go to www.realhelpforweightloss.com or to request a sample.
