QuestionI have been on a diet (off and on) since Feb. so far i've lost from 159 to 142 (17lbs). I am 5' 5' and i still want to lose another 14 lbs. I eat between 1200 and 1500 calories a day (less on weekdays more on weekends) and i go jogging at least 20 min. 3-5 times a week. Do i need to change the kinds of food i'm eating or switch the type of exercise or do you think my body has just adjusted to eating less? it's just getting really frustrating cause i'm really trying and i'm going to Hawaii in Dec... Any help would be nice.... thank you.
AnswerCongrats on your weight loss 17 pounds is an accomplishment.
Yes, your body will adjust to your diet and exercise routine. You need to mix things up every 4 to 6 weeks.
I personally use calorie cycling?every 3rd or 4th day, add an extra 1000 calories to your diet to prevent "starvation mode" and to fire up your metabolism. Then, reduce 1000 calories off the rest of your WEEK. You have the same net-calorie total, but your body won't be able to adjust.

I use voice dictation software to "type" a lot of my answers here on AllExperts, so I apologize if some of my words are wrote (like "two" instead of "to" or "too") or my capitalization and punctuation isn't perfect. I try to edit any mistakes I notice, but they do sometimes slip by. Thanks for understanding.
