QuestionHi,
I have been eating alot recently, and i seem to have gained over 3 stone in one month? is this actually possible or are my scales jsut wrong?
Also is there a level where your body stops obsorbing the calories in my stomach? as im told there are 18,000 calories in a stone, im sure i could easily eat well over 50calories a day via cakes and sweet..so theoretically i should gain 2-3 stones a day?!
AnswerNick,
Let's see. You are saying that you've gained 3 stones = 42 pounds. To lose/gain 1 pound you should cut down or add (respectively) 3,500 Cal. For 42 it's 147,000 Cal. It's in 30 days, in 1 day it's almost 5,000 EXTRA Cal. meaning it's plus to what your body needs. To have a better idea how much it is food-wise:
One 3-lb carrot cake
Five 1-lb loafs oatmeal bread
25 chocolate chip cookies
2 cups corn oil
5 cups honey
6,5 cups granulated sugar
If you think you can eat any of those foods every days in the above mentioned quantities, then yes, you can gain 42 pounds a month. Don't forget to stop exercising and better stay in bed :)
Seriously, it's not that simple with calories, you might want to read more about it

Oh, and I am not aware of any level where your body stops obsorbing the calories in your stomach.
