QuestionPhil
Can you recommend anything I can do,supplements or exercise, that would decrease my blood pressure?
I have followed my doctors advice and cut back on salt, fat, alcohol, and am exercising more than I already did.
THanks!
AnswerBud-
I would suggest staying off statins if you can but if they are needed take them and make the changes needed to get off of them
Continue to exercise just doing more then you used to take those steps. Resistance training and walking (cardio) get active take up a sport.
Diet wise I would suggest against avoiding fats. They are finding these are actually what you need. You ant o avoid trans fats and get the good fats. Poly and mono unsaturated and even saturated just not in abundance. If I could give you one things that going to make a huge difference it would be fish oils. Get them and start taking 6-10 grams a day. EVERYDAY. You could even mega dose them for a few weeks 20-30 grams. Make sure to take them with food.
Other things get your fiber, veggies fruits etc a fiber supp if needed. eta good foods meat, eggs, fish, poultry nuts and the above plants.
avoid processed grain and sugars
Hope that helps,
Phil
