QuestionHello,
My question pertains to weight loss for small adult women. I am 5'2", small frame, and weigh 124 pounds. My goal is slow, steady weight loss. Currently, I consume about 1400 calories a day, and burn about 600 a day through exercise. I am concerned because that brings my net daily calories to 800, which may be too low for good health. I see many guidelines on the internet which recommend about 1200 calories a day for women, and am wondering:
1) is that estimate appropriate for a short, small framed woman?
2) does that estimate encompass net or total calories? That is, what net calorie amount should I be aiming for?
Thank you for your help!
AnswerAP,
I usually recommend 1500 calories/day (no less) with exercise. It is good that you are exercising. Are you losing weight? If not, you might consider Bios LIfe Slim. It is a fiber-based supplement that you drink twice before meals - it is listed in the physician desk reference and has no herbs or stimulants. Very healthy.
