QuestionI am not bodybuilding and not trying to lose weight. I
just have a simple question about getting protein with
legumes and a grain complement in a vegan diet. What kind
of ratio of legumes to grains do I need so it's a complete
protein? Thanks, Jason
AnswerI would shoot mainly not for a per meal type of balance but just make sure you get a LOT of each everyday, nuts, grains, beans, etc, and realize it will be hard to gain a good deal of muscle on such a diet but one can aim to preserve it.
If your willing you are one of the people I Would suggest supplementing a BCAA or an EAA supplement on a regular basis to get those essential amino acids.
I would also like to invite you to listen to our free webcast radio show each week.(www.ironradio.org) spread the word you can ask questions before hand and during the broadcast and if you cant attend the show it is available for replay in MP3 format
