Hello!
I am trying to lose 10 - 15 lbs (I've lost 10 so far) and have been working out on the elliptical trainer.  Time is an issue and I'm wondering if 5 10-minute workouts will burn as many calories as 1 50-minute workout.

Wendy,

Yes, but I would suggest that if you are doing 10 minute bursts, that you do intervals!Warm up at a normal pace for 2 minutes, then do 1 minute hard 1 minute normal for the rest of the time- This will boost your effectiveness and burn a lot more calories.
