Question
Hello, Linda
I like eating chicken cartilage, but was wondering
if this practice was good or bad for my body
if it is good, what nutritional value does it have??
thanks
sincerely,
J.K.
P.S. by the way, i've found a japanese dish called "nankotsu", which is basically fried chicken cartilage. Do you know any benefits of this dish?
AnswerHi Jay,
The Chinese believe that eating cartilage can improve our joint health. However I am not aware of any scientific research that support this traditional belief.
I don't know about nankotsu and will look for it the next time I go to Japan:) Sounds good, but must be high in calories since it it deep fried (every time the food is deep fried, the calories increase by about 300%).
Sincerely,
Linda Yo
