QuestionHey Lela! I am a 23 year old female and am a professional dancer in a contemporary jazz company. So basically I am taking a variety of dance classes from 4-9 or 6-10pm 4 times a week consistently. While my abs are tight and flat I am still working on the lower sides of my stomach around to my back and then especially my hips thighs and buns. Which I know everrryyone struggles with but I am wondering what I can do to target these areas so that the weight comes of evenly and proportionately. I tend to do cardio on a bike or elliptical around 3-4 times a week on top of the dance classes. Please let me know if you have any suggestions for me. Thanks so much for your time.
Katie
AnswerThe good news is, if you keep up doing what you are doing- assuming you aren't eating junk every minute that you aren't in class- that extra bit will come off.
The bad news is that you are genetically programmed to lose weight from some areas faster than others, so it may take a while.
So, just remain patient with yourself, remember that there is no such thing as spot reducing ( so don't bother with a million side bends ), eat a healthy balanced diet and keep up the hard work that you are already doing.BTW- Treadmill or elliptical is going to burn more calories than bike- but considering your already rigorous schedule, taking a little break with the bike isn't a bad thing!
Hope this helps,
Lela Simon
