AnswerThe basics of an alkaline diet are eating less acid forming foods - Meat, grains, dairy, nuts, sugar, oils and beans
and eating more alkaline foods- Fruits, veggies(especially greens), seeds, and fermented foods.
While there isn't a lot of "scientific" research behind acid/alkaline diets, I have found that many of the "acid" foods are difficult to digest, are not well tolerated, or create allergic issues. For people with any of these problems a alkaline diet is ideal.
