QuestionHi. As I have a dairy intolerance, I eat soya products instead eg 100grams of (Alpro) Plain Organic Soya yoghurt for breakfast everyday, (Pure) Dairy Free Soya spread and (Cauldron) organic tofu. I've recently read that unfermented soya is bad for you and that, amongst other things, it can increase your weight? Are the above foods fermented or unfermented? I can't see it on the labels. If they are inhibiting my weight loss, are there healthy alternatives you could suggest please? Thanks. Helen
AnswerHi Helen,
I can speak with absolute confidence and experience on this!
My daughter was borne with severe dairy allergy, and for 8 years we researched every possible alternative. We all use the foods you mention daily.
Having come across Herbalife, and now running it as my business, I have been truly enlightened into the healthiest ways with nutrition.
Believe it or not, by not being able to take dairy products you are healthier than most people. Dairy is a highly processed food that effects the immune system and causes all manner of complications.
Soy, on the other hand, is one of natures superfoods...as long as it is not highly processed!
Alpro yoghurt is great, but try to go for the natural variety and add your own fruits etc, as there is more processing involved in the flavoured varieties.
Plain, frozen soybeans are excellent to have as part of your veg intake. Soy helps to offset cancer, and especially so for women and breast cancer.
Organic tofu or quark are great due to their high protein and low saturated fats and sugar content.
As Herbalife has been the world leader, for the past 30 years, in weight management, and has always included soya as the basis for it's programme, you ca be assured that it actually helps to promote weightloss. The more natural the soya is the better for you.
Hope this helps.
