QuestionHey Linda I weigh 312 pounds and so badly want to lose weight and I love Asian foods like sushi for example but I can't afford to go out and eat it everyday but I don't know how to fix it at home the right way plus I live in small town Alabama and can only go to a plain little grocery store is there any way you can help me it will much appreciated thank you so much Kaydee
AnswerHi Kaydee,
Sushi is low in fat & calories but there are other foods that are also low in fat & calories & easy to prepare. I even encourage people to combine Asian foods with American (western) foods for convenience.
I recommend people to eat rice as their staple food because steamed rice is high in water content (70% of the content is just water), good carb and resistant starch. Resistant starch "resists" digestion, thus it will keep you full but it will end up in the restroom. What the stomach can't digest, the stomach can't absorb the calories. 1 gram of regular carb gives you 4 calories while 1 gram of resistant starch gives you anywhere between 0-3 calories.
If you eat rice with vegetable soup, you will lose weight easily because you will stay full with less calories. Also eating rice increases the serotonin (happy/feel good hormone) level in our brain & helps us control our cravings.
Try this vegetable soup:

Again, there are other foods that are delicious, filling & low in calorie content. If you truly want to lose weight & stay slim for good, get the book, read it a couple of times (it's an easy read with pictures to illustrate my point) & most importantly TAKE ACTION.
If you continue to build the slimming habits described in my book, you can easily lose about 10 lbs/month or more than 100 lbs/year. I would love to see your picture!
Best wishes,
