QuestionI have lost 15 pounds, been doing pretty good with my calories, but for a whole week I got awful cravings for sweets and went over my calories by 500-700 everyday for a week, including today. I am definitely going back on my right amount this week, but I'm worried I'll gain weight from that mess up. I'm meeting someone at the end of this week and don't want to look fatter. Am I going to gain anything noticeable? Thanks.
AnswerKim,
a pound of weight is equivalent to 3500 calories- so you probably ate enough to have gained a pound- no big deal in the short term, but if you did this every week for a year, it would be very noticeable. Put your past behind you and move on. You might want to take some time to figure out why you ended up craving the way you did, so you can modify the behavior in the future.
Hope this helps,
