QuestionHi. Before becoming pregnant with my second child, I had always remained at a healthy weight. ( 5'5" and 120 pounds.) I gained alot during my pregnancy with my youngest son. Two years later, I was still 20 pounds overweight.I joined a gym in March, dropped 8 pounds, but seem to have reached a plateau. So I decided to increase my cardio workout from 30 minutes to 45 minutes a day. I usually do a high intensity cardio every other day and a lower intensity in between (fast walking rather than jogging or running). I have noticed that since I increased my time from 30 to 45 min, when I am done, I get very shaky. I am drinking water throughout the workout, I always have a cool down to bring my heart rate back down, and I always have a light breakfast before I go to the gym ( lowfat fruit and yogurt or oatmeal). I also usually do a strength circuit 3 times a week after the cardio, but have skipped it the last couple of times due to the shakiness. It usually passes after about 10-15 minutes. I do not have any underlying health problems. Do you have any advice for about what I should be doing differently? Since I seem to be at a stand still with my weight loss (haven't gained any either though) I assumed that I should be increasing my cardio time. Thanks in advance for any advice you might be able to contribute.
