My name is Peter. I am 13 years old, and weigh 200 lbs. I try to lose weight, but I don't know a good and firm diet plan. So, my question is can you give me a good diet plan for someone my age?

AnswerDear Peter, I cannot give you an entire diet plan by e-mail, but I can give you the basics on how to lose weight. To lose weight, you will have to eat less food than your body needs. When you do this your body will burn it's stored fat for energy. Walk, run, ride a bike for at least 30-45 minutes everyday. Get a book and write down every food and drink you consume. Read labels and count the calorie content of the food and drink. To lose weight, you will want to eat around 1500 calories per day. You can eat 5 small meals measuring 300 calories, or 3 meals measuring 500 calories. Within one month, you can drop 10 pounds with this method. Hope that helps, Laura Kraemer,Slimkids.com
