QuestionHey Richard, well, this summer.. I've been away from home the entire time and didn't realise I was uncontrollably binging on food! Well, I've gained about 20 pounds since 2 months ago, all in my belly area. Is it just genetics that all my fat always goes to my belly with no other part of my body changing? Also, now that summer's over, I plan to run nearly every day for 30 minutes-hour. What's better for slimming down? Moderate paced, constant jogging? or hardcore sprints? Thanks.
AnswerKelly, I've read research that shows BOTH are equally good. You really just have to pick whichever one you enjoy most - or mix it up.
Personally, when I run, I like slow, steady jogging. You have to run longer, but you still burn calories. A 30 minute jog equals about a 10 minute RUN though. I don't mind the time spent.
(Actually, I hate running. I'd much rather get on my bicycle).
Also don't forget some weight training. Nothing is better for burning fat than building muscle.
