QUESTION: Hello lela,

i am 26 year old indian woman. my weight is 125 pound and height is 5.4. i am working really hard to lose weight. but i dont get even one pound weight lose result. i workout 5 time a week. i do 1 and half  hours  cardio workout and half hours weight training.
monday i do step cardio workout and half hours of weight traing for my lower body fat.
tuesday i do resistance bicycle class for hour .i go 15 miles on that and half hour another weight traing for my biceps and legs.
wednesday i walk on hight hill 13 for 50 minute i got 4 miles on that and half n hour weight training.
thursday i do same which i do on tuesday.
friday i do same which i do on wednesday.

but my big concern is i am not able to lose weight.
my deit is very simple.
i eat fruits day time like grapefruits,apple,plum or strawberries.
and half cup of fat free milk.
at dinner time i eat vegetable soup 2 cups and bean salad and 1 cup fat free yogurt.

for snak i eat hand full of peanut or almond witn raisin sometime.
i give little break on my deit on weekend. but still keep eye on that.
i try to drink 50 to ounce water a day.

i have really hard time to loose weight.
i want lose 15 pound weight.

pleae advice me to loose weight and boost my metablism.
and one question is  it good to eat nuts before workout to loose weight.

Please advice me to loose weight.
i am dying to loose weight.



ANSWER: Supriya,
I don't think you are getting enough protein in your diet, which will make it hard for your body to build/ repair the muscle that you are working out for. It looks as though you are a vegetarian, but adding more beans, nuts, and whole grains into your diet will help to boost your protein levels.

Now, you are within what is considered a healthy weight- so it may be that with more protein your muscles will firm up and you will feel better about your body.

Do you do any kind of online personal nutrition training?
Can you please set up my meal plan in vegetarian so i can reach my goal and have good lower body shape. i have all my fat at my inner and outer thigh.

i feel my metabolism is veru slow.. if you can let me know how to boost my metabolism and lose more weight.

can you please give answer of my previos question that is , is it good it eat nuts before workout.

I do Nutritional coaching- so I don't set up meal plans, instead I help people determine the best diet for themselves. I would eat something that is more quick energy before your workout- fruit or something like that, then eat the nuts after when your muscles need the protein for repair.
