QuestionI am trying to drop 15-20 lbs for my test next month with the police academy. I need to lose weight so that I can pass my tests. I am 217lbs and 5'6. Can I have nothing but MEAL REPLACEMENTS till I pass my test then eat a more sensible diet. The last time I tested for a police department I was 197. I passed.
I will have 3-4 meal replacements (vitamins and minerals also)
and once a week eat a cheat meal. Can I do that and be safe? This is only for a month.
AnswerAlright, Tough Love Lela is up to bat.
If you don't want my honest answer, just walk away now.
This isn't going to work, and the reason it isn't going to work isn't the meal replacements- but your psychology. See thing is, you've known about this test for a while right? and you could have done the sensible thing and eaten right and exercised, but you didn't, you left it till you had a month and put yourself in a position to have to do the extreme thing.
You MIGHT be able to lose this weight- not safely- not healthfully- but you will wreck your metabolism so when you start eating "a more sensible diet" you will gain weight; and when you gain weight you will get all discouraged and the cycle of ignoring your heath and then going on crazy diets that will only make things worse will begin again.
This is a terrible idea.
