QuestionI have a question out of curiosity. We usually like to cook our bacon on the George Foreman grill. I was wondering if that reduced the calories in it at, because the grease drains? On the package it says that two slices pan friend is 80 calories. Do you have any idea how the George Foreman would compare? Or is it just the same?
AnswerWow, what a great question.
I'm sure there is a difference in calories depending on whether one eats their bacon very crisp and drains all the grease off it, or whether they eat it with most of the fat on it and don't drain it well.
For every teaspoon of grease you do NOT eat you are saving about 45 calories.
Even in the George Foreman grill I think it still depends on whether you cook it longer and whether you blot more grease off!
But it does have me wondering what they are basing the 80 calories on--perhaps it is an average...
