QuestionHi Lela, I'm 29 years old, and within the last 9 months I have lost 25kg (before I was 101kg before with 176cm height). My goal weight is 70kg which is think is normal for my height. During my weight loss I had a fibromyalgia attack (beginning of this year) which has kept me from exercising for many months. I have gotten better and can now go swimming. Which foods can you recommend that can help me burn off calories faster? I am very careful with what I am eating calorie-wise, but I obviously need energy food to get me through the day. Hope you're having some ideas.
AnswerSusanne,
Well we can start with the foods that are known to trigger fibro attacks- Namely aspartame, MSG, sugar, caffeine, yeast, gluten, dairy, Tomatoes, chili and bell peppers, potatoes, and eggplant.
If you can reduce flare ups, you can be more active and keep weight off. A vegetarian diet has shown some promise, though fish and fish oil have great promise as well. Try adding green tea to your routine, it is a metabolism booster.
Hope this helps,
Lela Simon
