QuestionI am sixteen. I am 5'6 and i weigh almost 150 pounds. I honestly, do not like my weight. I ran cross country since fourth grade, but I had to stop to focus on my future. I would LOVE to flatten my stomach. That is my main goal! I want to be more healthier too. My diet contains of pizza, chicken, and french fries! I know, so not healthy. Unfortunately, those are the main foods I like. It is difficult for me to try new things. I have a treadmill, should I run or do sittups? PLEASE HELP! :)
AnswerKellie,
(As a Mom I have to say...NEVER use your last name online!)
Ok, so you you quit cross country to focus on your future. Hows that working out for you? If you enjoyed running, the competitive nature and consistent exercise would be a great stress reliever and help you maintain focus- as well as help you maintain an ideal weight. If you don't like running then the treadmill isn't going to do you any good, since if you hate doing exercise you won't do it. Either way, find something you enjoy and do it. Try dance tapes or yoga or any of the 100 different ways to get your groove on, then invite some friends to do it with you.
Here's a great place to download workouts, they cost money, but a good one is worth it!

As far as food goes- there's nothing to it but to do it. It isn't difficult for you to try new things, you just aren't. Unlike many other issues of weight loss this really is a question of will- does your desire to eat junk trump your desire to be an ideal weight? Start with adding a fruit of veggie to every meal then clean it up from there.
Hope this helps,
