QuestionHi there. I am 21 years old and 145 pounds. I begin training for Mixed Martial Arts in 6 months and wonder whats a good plan for gaining weight that can easily be worked into muscule? I have cut soda out of my diet. Im looking to gain about 15 pounds in a safe manner without the aid of Whey protein and that whole gimmick. Any advice would be great. Thank you.
AnswerJames-
you dont need Whey its just food its just a simple milk based protein but its not a gimmick its a good protein source just not magic.
You need to address your diet. plain and simple. You cannot in Any way gain weight unless you eat more then you burn every single day. You can train all you want but if you dont have the fuel (food) in excess it is impossible to gain.
You battle is with the fork and the table sit down and eat. I dont care at this point what it is just do it. You can sort that out later after you learn to gain weight. It can be an extra whole pizza, a gallon of milk, or what ever added on top of your current intake but it has to be soemthing.
There are NO bad food (with exception of trans fat) just foods that are bad for certain peoples goals. Eat up. If your a food Nazi and want o do it so called clean. add add a half gallon of milk and a half ajar of natural peanut butter on top of your current diet. I repeat ADD not in place of and if you up the training remember then you have to eat even more.
