QuestionI use to weigh 136 pounds. Then I gained like 70 pounds very quickly by eating a lot of PB&J sandwiches.
Now I want to loose the weight again. I already lost 20 pounds. But that's not enough.
What should I eat to make sure I loose and maintain this weight?
And how many calories and meals should I eat a day?
AnswerHi Kurt,
Firstly, you should look at the balance of what you eat: each meal should have lean protein- from chicken, meats, fish ( make sure it is not fried or coated, or in sauces), with plenty of fresh veg.
Have at least 6-8 glasses of plain water a day.
Eat small portions but regularly- every 2-3 hours.
Snacks should be equivalent to a very small meal as described above- so maybe mixed nuts/fruit as an example.
Doing anything outside of this will slow down the weight/fat loss.
Eating white wheat products and dairy products will also have a negative effect- so avoid these as best you can.
Remember- you want to retain your muscle and just lose the fat- so it's important to measure yourself and not rely on just the scales.
To know your calories and protein requirements you can use the online calculator I have- hop onto www.thinkslimntrim.org and follow the instructions.
