Regarding weight

Question
Hi,

I find that when I do weight exercise and eat well, I increase in my weight. However when I eat the same amount of food and don't do exercise, my body weight reduces. I was wondering, why I am not gaining weight or even maintain the same weight when I am not doing exercise although I eat the same amount of food?

Regards,

Answer
Depending on the details (what period of time we're talking about, how much weight, and how much you are lifting) you are either gaining muscle weight, or some water weight as your muscles develop.
If you are wondering why you don't gain when you are not lifting it's because you may not be burning as many calories as you think you are when you're lifting. It could take months to notice a few pounds creeping on from lack of exercise; and you also may be losing muscle weight if you are skipping the weights long enough to actually have your muscles shrink.

There is also the chance that you really do eat more than you realize when you are in your working-out mode.... many people do.
