QuestionHi,
I just started taking an amino acid supplement, and would like to know what the body does with excess amino acids. Some of the dosages are pretty high, I wouldn't want it to store as fat! Thanks.
AnswerWell it is food essentially just broken down to its finest parts and anything in excess can be stored at a point your excreted from our body. Amino Acids thought would definitely not preferentially go to body fat storage. In short it would go through many loops to be converted to be stored as body fat. You would need to be eating excess calories for anything to be stored as body fat. Be it sugar, fat or protein.
