QuestionHey Phil,
I am a freshmen in college and i find it best to lift in the morning because of time issues and such. But i feel so tired in the morning and low on energy until i eat breakfast. Problem is i do not have much time to wait between eating and lifting because of the dining hall hours and the time of my classes. i can not lift right after breakfast because what it does to me during. So what im asking is if there is any food that i could eat that would not be big in volume but still give me the energy i need so i can work out soon after i eat? i was thinking simple carbs but im not really sure. your advice would be appreciated.
thanks,
ben
AnswerBen you are right. DONT train on an empty stomach. In your situation I would have you take a big dose of simple carbs like that made by Vitargo Gener8 as its easily digested and a simple protein source like whey and maybe a dilute carb solution like gatorade of even coolaid during training.
