QuestionI feel stupid asking this, but what is a "good" amount of soda to consume per month? I drink about 2-3 cans of Coca Cola per day, and I know it's not healthy. Also, any tips for making my diet healthier? And, are all these things I've heard about soda causing liver problems/pancreas cancer true?
Thanks!
P.S; I'm not over-weight, but I know all the soda may catch up to me someday!
AnswerYou appear to be well aware that soda is not a good choice, so I will not belabor that point with you. Drinking soda appears to be a very hard habit to kick - I get many letters from people with the same questions. Of course, I can only say that really, to be healthy, you should not drink any soda.
If you are thirsty you should drink water. Which is boring, I know. But if you add some lemon juice, it is much better. You can get used to drinking water just like you get used to anything else. You just have to make up your mind that you are not going to drink soda any longer and do it.
We are not some innocent bystander to our life. If we have an addiction it is because we have given it permission to control us. We are in complete control of everything at all times when it comes to what we put into our bodies. Do not make it sound like you cannot control your soda drinking. If it were heroin, I might give you a break, but soda is soda. Just don't drink it. It's really as simple as that.
Thank you for contacting me. I hope that you will consider my recommendation.
