Questionok so i know a lot of people ask how to "LOSE" weight, but my question is how can i "GAIN" weight? you see, i've always been a typical tall skinny guy with a high metabolism. i want to "hulk" up and have some muscles to show off to my ol lady but its just isn't working out for me. i can eat tons and tons of food and yet i dont gain a pound. i've gone to my local fitness and vitamin shop to get some info and supplements that i can try, and none of which they recommened had work. i weighed the same and i didnt look much different but i will add that i felt different. i did feel a lot stronger cuz i had been working out and lifting weights. so my question is how can i gain weight and muscle without taking steroids? any tips?
AnswerHi Kevin - well (and I do mean this) the very best way that I know to gain weight in the long term is to go on really restrictive diets which mess up your metabolism. (http://www.ditch-diets-live-light.com/basal-metabolic-rate.html). So it works like this: when you go on a restrictive diet, and you don't exercise, you first lost water and then muscle and what you hold onto is fat. The higher your percentage body fat, the better your body stores food as fat. Then when you break the diet, you don't gain back the water and muscle, but gain back fat. And if you keep dieting and then breaking the diet, you'll gain weight unhealthy weight over time. So that really isn't a solution.
So here's what I want to say, doing some weights will help you feel toned and healthy - but why not stun your lady with your fabulous personality and you'll keep her for life.
