QuestionI am a very active 32 year old who in the past 3 years have lost a total of 80 pounds, decreased my BMI and my body fat percentage. I have stayed active with my work outs 5 times a week for a year now. I have recently in the past 2 months began to jog and jog 2 miles every morning 5 times a week. I have a version of the body bugg which I have monitored closely. During the 5 days a week I work out I burn 4000 calories in a 24 hour period. On the days I do not work out I burn roughly 2800. I have started to gain weight within the last year. I have weighed the same basically for a year after I lost the weight and now it is starting to come back on. I have re-gained about 17 pounds but I continue to work out for 1.5 hours 5x a week. My diet has never gone out of control and I eat healthy. I have in the past counted calories and monitored them but when I realized how much I was buring, I was only consuming 1500 calories a day. I would like to know what I am doing wrong or if I need to bump up my calorie intake and to what?
AnswerHi,
You need to figure out what that what consists of that you gained, get another body fat % to find out what it is you have gained .
I am not familiar with the "body bugg" and find most of these calorie counting devices to be inefficient.
For calories you need to make sure the simple sugar and fat intake has not increased.
Thanks.
