QuestionHi, so I'm trying to do two things. My stomach is kind of big from the big portion meals/snacks I eat frequently and I have a fair bit of belly fat that's covering my abs that I want to show. How do I decrease my stomach size and lose the belly fat?
AnswerDear Robert, Try smaller higher protein meals and snacks throughout the day, say 5 meals per day. If each meal averages about 3-4 hundred calories each, you will lose fat while maintaining your muscle mass. Limit sugar, pasta, white rice, cookies, crackers, mac and cheese, pizza and other high carb foods. Choose lean meats, chicken, fish, eggs and egg whites, whole fruit, vegetables, high fiber bread, low fat dairy, and healthy oils like olive and salad oils.
