QuestionQUESTION: Hello Antonio, maybe i am expecting to see results too soon but i started to get frustrated with no results at all. A little about me first; I am a 30 years old female, 5'2 and i weigh at 10 st 3 lbs at the moment.
Four weeks ago, I bought a bicycle and started cycling everywhere (at least half an hour everyday), then i started going to gym around the same time as i got my bike. At gym, I do 30 minute high intensity resistant training mixed with cardio in between (like intervals). I also started martial arts once a week for 2 and a half hours, also very high intensity. I am careful with my diet, although, i dont eliminate anything,I am avoiding sweets, having lots of fruit and vegetables and i am eating when i am hungry and stopping as soon as i am full but i do not calorie count. One thing i should mention i suppose is that I work night shifts 2-3 times a week and I snack on fruits and some nuts and yoghurts at my night shifts. However, my sleep pattern is all over the place and i usually dont get more than 6 hrs sleep a day or night (Wondering if anything to do with it). If i dont eat at work, i feel so hungry so i dont like starving my self but i d rather not eat at night but it s just not practical with my shift patterns. Now it has been around 3-4 weeks since i started this new fitness regime. Ever since i started doing all these activities and watching what i eat, I noticed that my body is well toned and my legs feel well muscular. However, i have lost nothing, furthermore put on couple of pounds. I realise muscle weighs heavier but i dont wanna be thick and toned. I desperately want to lose 2 stones. Please help!!!. Thank you. Mia

QUESTION: I think my weight equals to 62kg or 138 lbs..and my height is appearantly 5'3 actually as I just got measured. My Bmi falls just under 25 which is almost borderline of being overweight. Hope this helps.
AnswerIf I am correct 2 stones is around 28 pounds, 28 pounds may be to much for you to lose. Your BMI is normal, you may just need to tone up. If you just need to tone up,then you need to do some weight lifting with high repetitions and lower weight. You also need to do lots of calastetics such as pull ups, sit ups, push ups, and dips. But let us not forget about Cardio, at least 30 minutes per day. You will not see a heck of lot a results in 4 weeks. The results that you should be able to see is increased stamina and strength, along with increased energy. These are not look in the mirror types of results but they are very important. At 30 years of age you have the ability to achieve a lot with a well balanced plan. If you are not looking to get thick as you had mentioned then the light weights for high repetitions addresses this.
