QuestionI haven't seen anyone that specializes in what i have to ask, but i thought you were the closest. first off, i am not looking to lose weight. I am 22 years old and just under 130 pounds. I have a very high Metabolism, and can eat pretty much anything i want without gaining weight. My problem is that i have been living on my own for about a year now, and my diet is horrible. i find myself busy all the time and just eat crap (frozen dinners, canned food, easy foods). i find myself tired all the time. I am wondering if there are vitamin supplements i can use and what would be best? thanks. Mark.
AnswerYou being tired all the time could be for many reasons, I would suggest that if you have not had a full physical lately that you may want to schedule one and explain these symptoms to your doctor. As for proper nutrition many people go to the computer and use one of the many calorie calculators to determine how much food they basically need to eat compaired to their activity levels. You can also check on the computer specifically on the USDA sight to find out what you need when it comes to Proteins, Fats, Carbs, ECT.
As for foods to stay away from, those are simple,
1. Fried foods
2. High fat foods especially ones with trans fat.
3. sugar filled foods
4. Highly processed foods loaded with chemicals
5. High Carb foods. Not to say not to eat carbs, Carbs are important and you need them for energy.
Supplements are great if you need them. I prefer organic viatamins.
Good luck Mark
