Questionhi laurie,
I am confused after a well known fitness trainer in my
country(India) has advertised that people with O+ blood
having chappati will hamper their weight loss.Is this true.I
have never heard of any drawbacks with chapaati as its made
of pure wheat and nothing else.its dry and no butter.its
made by kneading wheat flour into dough by using luke warm
water and after sometime flattening it into a circle and
heating it on a frying pan with/witout oil.but why does he
also mention O+ blood group.thanks in advance.
regards,
yasser.
AnswerDear Yasser,
I understand your confusion! Although I am not familiar with this food (thank you for explaining what it is for me) there are no foods that affect any person with one blood type differently than another person.
The blood types are merely set to determine who can receive a transfusion from another person (along with a simple method that can sometimes help determine who the parents of a child are). There is no scientific basis to some of the diets and books that are out there claiming that different blood types have to eat differently!
Like I always say, there might as well be a diet called "eating for your eye color" as this, too, has nothing to do with your body's metabolism!
Thank you for your question.
