QuestionHi! My question is about your career. I want to become a nutritionist, but first I want to attend community college. After two years studying in community college I want to transfer to a university. My question is What should I study in community college? Would Biology be a good choice? I really would appreciate your answer. Thanks.
AnswerHello,
Biology would be an excellent Associates Degree program to finish at your community college before entering into a 4 year program. Many nutrition degrees and dietetic degrees require level 1 and 2 classes in biology, chemistry, nutrition, and human anatomy- all classes which may be finished in a community college.
Once you have a 2 year community college picked out, make sure to review with a counselor about transferring your credits to a college to finish your four year degree. You want to make sure all your hard work transfers over. Some schools have a 2+2 program, where your entire Associates degree transfers right into the first two years of the bachelors program.
Good luck!
