Vegetarian versus non-vegetarian, calorie for calorie


Question
Assuming you ate the  same amount of calories as a non vegetarian diet, would you lose weight faster on a reduced calorie vegetarian diet?

Answer
Maybe, since generally, the vegetarian diet is lower in calorie density resulting in better satiety on a fewer calories, which in its own turn decrease hunger the worst weight loss  hinderer. However, it's only "generally" and strongly depends on many other factors like physical activity (exercise and daily total), hormonal status, etc.
