i have just joined the gym to gain some weight by building muscles.
I am quite skinny.I have decided to use a protein powder and use it with corn flakes ( for carbohydrates).
since i'm really thin, even my buttocks don't show up much. So for those areas of my body where i cannot gain muscle i need fat ( if my analysis is not wrong). Can i take in fat by eating boiled potatoes every day. if yes , then how much?.
can u suggest any other method of taking in carbs and fats so that i can rotate instead of eating the same potatoes everyday.Also i dont eat meat, i'm okay with eggs.
Please enlighten on the answers, i would appreciate.

The easiest way to gain weight is to eat & drink high calories/high fat foods such cheese, coconut milk, milkshake.
Potatoes are low in calories and fat content so eating boiled potatoes can't help you to gain weight. If you make them into french fries, then you triple the calories & add more fat content.
Eating curries with roti bread is also a good idea since it is very high in fat content.
