QuestionIs it possible, I can lose weight before August 25th?
I really want to lose weight but I keep cheating. I just cant help it. I want to lose 20 pounds before August 25th. If I stop cheating on my diet can I lose 20 pounds before that date? Does anyone know something I can do to stop craving bad food? My mom buys a lot of bad food. she says just because im on a diet doesnt mean she has to be on one. Eating fruit doesnt work and I cant just eat a small portion of something cause Ill end up eating the whole thing.
Im 5 foot 5 inches and weigh 145
AnswerDear Danielle, Yes, you can lose that amount of weight by the end of August, but you better start today. First write down all your goals, then write down the steps to achieve those goals. Remember there is a solution for every problem. You eat to feed your body fuel. If you limit the fuel, the body will burn fat for fuel. You have to get the body to burn fat for fuel. Increasing your daily exercise will help your body burn more fuel, also the types of foods you eat are important. Some foods are easily stored as fat. Foods like bread, fruit juice, cookies, crackers, bagels, excess milk, english muffins, rice, pasta, mac and cheese, sugar, fast food, etc. are foods that the body can easily digest, turn into sugar in the body and store as fat, leaving you hungry, wanting more.
Choose foods like lean meats, chicken, fish, eggs, pork, occasional whole grain bread, whole fruits, as many vegetables as you can eat in a day, low fat or non fat milk or yogurt(low sugar yogurt), and healthy fats like those in salad oils. Try to eat 5 small meals a day, each meal about 300 calories each and those meals have to include the healthy foods. Walk everyday for at least 30 minutes. better if you walk thirty minutes in am and thirty minutes in evening or ride a bike. If you let yourself get bored, you might overeat. Encourage your mom not to buy the foods you tend to overeat, but realize those foods will be around you for the rest of your life, you have to make the decision to limit them to special occasions only.
