QuestionRight now I am 287 and actually don't look that bad. However, I'm going for 245 (ideal weight range). I'm also pretty good at maintaining a single weight, but I want to know...when going for weight loss with out calorie counting, you have any idea what you'll feel or know of any signs (short term) of when your going overboard with the decrease in food intake...other than just plain hunger?

Hi Caleb
Your very best sign IS hunger, because if you're starting to feel light-headed or dizzy you've overdone it. In my days of starving myself I know I also used to get a lump in my throat but not everyone I've spoken to has that.
Just one other thing about hunger, you need to know that you have 4 types of hunger and each one needs something different - this is what I call being body wise http://www.ditch-diets-live-light.com/body-wise.html:
A head hunger - is when your body isn't physically hungry but your mind is.... eg. you see cookies and you weren't hungry before you saw them but suddenly you think you are.
A heart hunger - is when you eat because you're feeling sad, glad, mad or bad
A throat hunger - is when you're actually thirsty and need water, but in research about 40% or research participants couldn't tell whether they were hungry or thirsty.
A body hunger - when you're physically hungry and your body is asking for nutrition.
By the way, the best way to eat is 'intuitive eating' http://www.ditch-diets-live-light.com/intuitive-eating.html
Kind regards
