QuestionHello Laurie,
I have gone from 165 to 129 in about 9 months. I am 5'1" and my scale says my body fat percentage is 26. I would like to lose 10 more pounds but they are being very stubborn. I'm not sure if I should up my calorie burn by doing doing more cardio, eating less (I currently eat about 1300-1450 calories-sometimes more on the weekend- and try to burn at least 500 calories a day 6 days a week), or focus more on strength training(I strength train 3 days a week and usually do a little cardio on those days as well). Also how many calories should I be eating? I've checked around different sites and gotten from 1200-2000 a day. Any advice would be helpful! Thank you!
Answerrosie,
Congratulations on your hard work and your successful weight loss!
If you are eating 1300-1450 kcalories a day and that's working for you, I wouldn't pay attention to what various sources are suggesting. Everyone has a different body make-up and differing metabolism, so you have found yours!
You can try more cardio, try more strength training, and even try varying your intake. It might work to increase your calorie level on some days just to shake things up. No one can predict what will work for you, but since time is not of the essence, I would suggest trying something different each month for 30 days and see what your results are!
