QuestionHi, im 13 years old, 138 lbs, and 5' 7". i am really unhappy with my stomach, hip area. I have 'love handles' and they stick out when ever i wear jeans, and i am afraid to wear some of my tighter clothing because i dont want people thinking im fat. ive tried multiple thinks, biking, eating healthy, running, and doing sit-ups every night, yet they still wont go away.
i was wondering if you have any diets, excersizes, or routines that will help me. i have trouble sticking to complex plans. i was also wondering if diet pills are okay. i know, i am good weight for my hieght, but i need to turn some fat into muscle, and i was thinking if i lost the fat first, i could then build muscle.
thank you so much for your response and help.
AnswerHi Jessica,
You are still maturing and growing, so no to any diet pills. Continue to ride your bike or walk everyday for at least 30-45 minutes. Cut out all the sugar, chips, cookies, crackers, excess fruit juice, and other types of sugar. Try to eat 1500-1800 calories per day, eating healthy foods from all food groups. You were born with a certain bone structure, that you cannot change, but if you feel you truly have fat on your abdomen, then work it off with exercise. Excess muscle building will actually thicken your waist. Daily crunches should be OK. Hope that helps, Laura Kraemer,Slimkids.com
