I'm 18 and I'm 5'5" and I weigh 145 pounds. Is it possible for a person to lose 20-25 pounds by christmas if they eat healthy and work out a lot? What kind of exercises should I do?

It's not possible to lose that amount of wieight in 8 weeks at your size. If someone weighed 300 pounds it would be more likely for them.
According to my calculations, you burn about 1850- 2000 calories a day. If you followed a healthy 1500 calorie diet, plus worked out for an hour each day (biking, jogging, step class, aerobics video) you could lose close to 2 pounds a week.
Think about it: you might get down to 130 pounds by Christmas and you might be very happy at that weight!
My advice is generally to give up junk food: go without cookies, candy bars, sweetened drinks and fried foods. Don't skip out on healthy complex carbs and low fat dairy products in an attempt to lose weight. If you keep it up, you'll be at your goal soon enough.
