QuestionI am 5'3 and weigh 113 lbs. Always have. My face is very thin and many people say I should gain weight. Now I'm all for that but here's my problem. I don't understand how i can be so "thin" that everyone tells me I'm too skinny, and yet I'm in a size 7 pants and they're tight. My measurements are "no boobs" so 30 in the chest, 27 waist and 35 hips. Now I can try and lose weight, but that just makes me look bonier and thinner. How could I gain weight, but not gain in it like the stomach?? I already exercise one hour a day and try to eat lots of veggies, but like chocolate too. I don't get how you can be thin, and still have such measurements. Anything more I can do??
AnswerAndrea, At 5.3, you are still within a healthy weight for your height. You can't change your body genetics and you can't gain weight where you want it to go, nor can you spot reduce. If you gain weight, it won't all go to the stomach; it will be distributed by your body the way the body wants to distribute it. I would ignore what people tell you and accept your body the way it is. Hope that helps, Laura Kraemer, Slimkids.com
