Cheating on my diet

Whenever i'm on a diet i break it at one point of the day, like when i get home from school i can't keep myself from going to the fridge. I'll go on a diet for 4 days, eat healthy and everything then the next day I ruin it. I do also have healthy food in my house but my parents buy junk food for everyone in the house because they arent on a diet. I exercise and if I try to eat a little piece of something sweet instead of the whole thing i'll end up eating the whole thing

and whenever i eat a bit of something i end up eating loads of it until i feel guilty
how can i stop craving food so much?
are there any foods that can help?

I am wondering if you are the Danielle who has written to me multiple times?
If you are, then those questions put together with this one indicates you have a preoccupation with food. It's not uncommon for young women to think this way, but it can turn into an obsession that can ruin a happy life.

When you spend all day thinking of what you can eat, when you can eat, what you can't have that you really want, and then feeling guilty when you eat something you feel is bad, you can't enjoy much of anything you are doing or experiencing. Only thoughts of food rule your mind.

Consider finding a counselor you can talk to about this. There are many who specialize in eating disorders. It doesn't sound like you have one right now, but in time your thoughts and behaviors could lead to one. It's not uncommon in teenage females to see this thought pattern. Sometimes the person focuses on food and diet to avoid other issues going on.

Whatever the reason, I think you'll feel a lot better talking to someone and getting your thoughts in perspective. At the end of the day, the problem may not be a diet issue at all.
