stagnant weight loss

Question
Hi. I am 21 years old. I currently weigh 69.7kg at height 167cm. I have been trying to lose weight recently. I use to weigh around 65kg but i started to gain 7kg til around 72kg 2 months earlier. I have started working out almost everyday for 25 minutes and reducing my intake daily. I lost about 3kg and now my weight is stagnant at 69.7kg. In fact, it keeps hovering every day. I can weight 69.1kg and then 69.8kg the next day. Is there anything wrong with this? I weigh myself every morning after i wake up.

Answer
Hi Lw.... well a weight of 69.7kg's at your height it doesn't sound to me like your body wants to lose anymore weight... and if you've started working out, muscle weights 3 times on a scale what fat does, so it can feel as if your weight is stagnant.  I wouldn't worry about mild fluctuations in your weight - what you weigh month over month is more important than what you weigh from one day to another.  Here is an article that might help you understand the whole weight and muscle vs weight and fat issue:  http://www.ditch-diets-live-light.com/basal-metabolic-rate.html
