Questioni am pretty much confused about foods when it comes to detoxifying the liver. I am adding Bran over white rice while cooking them.Would it be similar in comparison to brown rice?
could it be considered a low calorie diet?
There is scarcity of brown rice in our country so eating legumes and beans everytime isint possible so i have sought this remedy out. Would it be an appropriate remedy for adding half a cup wheat bran over white rice when boiling them?
:)))
AnswerHi Ahmed,
Great question! That's too bad that you can't get easy access to brown rice because it would definitely be preferable to eat the whole, unprocessed food itself.
Adding rice bran with the white rice would definitely help add in more fiber and nutrients from the bran that are missing in the white rice. As long as it tastes good to you, I say go for it. It sounds like it's probably the most economical way to get some good nutrients in every day.
Some of the best foods for cleansing your liver include green leafy vegetables (like broccoli, cabbage, spinach, etc.), beats and carrots, green tea, as well as spices like turmeric and garlic which I think are common in Pakistan - am I right?
Let me know if I can do anything else to help!
